Michael Rainey Jr.’s ‘Power’ Love Interest Latoya Tonodeo Reacts To Viral Sexual Assault Incident

Michael Rainey Jr.’s ‘Power’ co-star Latoya Tonodeo nearly spoke out after the 23-year-old’s sexual assault caught on stream.

Media reports the actress expressed her support for him and gave an update on how Rainey was holding up.

Tonodeo, 27, talk with a cameraman from the outlet about the shocking meeting as she walked via LAX. When she was initially questioned to share her thoughts, she said, “No comment on that at all.”

Later in the video, she disclosed and shares that the conversation about sexual assault on “all genders” should be more prevalent.

“It needs to be put out for everybody,” Latoya said. When asked how Michael was doing after the public assault she replied, “He’s fine.”

Tonodeo also shared how grateful she was to be chosen as Michael’s co-star on ‘Power’ because the show has “literally changed [her] life.” She addressed, “I’m grateful. I’m so blessed.”

As earlier reported by The Shade Room, Michael appeared on ‘The Tylil Show’ live stream on June 9. The final season of ‘Power’ is now airing and Rainey was on the stream to promote the program.

Tylil, also popular as Ty Ty James, had his family in the mix as he streamed with the actor. During the filming, his sister, Jahgee, enters the frame and seemingly begins to grope Michael.

A little girl in a green shirt is standing in front of him blocking the assault from view. There were also 2 more little girls present in addition to other men in the room.

Michael says, “Whoa,” as soon as Tahgee seemingly makes contact with his private area, and appears to be in shock. He slowly moves her hand away.

But, Jahgee is seemingly persistent and attempts to continue to grope him. A man off-camera sees what occurs and walks up to Rainey. He and the guy laugh. Tylil notices something is happening but doesn’t know really what. When he inquires, the man says, “Bro, we’ll tell you later.

We can’t tell you on this s***.” Rainey released a statement on June 10 condemning Tylil’s sister’s actions. He stated that he was “still in shock” and “sexual assault is never okay, regardless, the gender or status.”
