Montel Williams, Vice President Kamala Harris‘s former-boyfriend, has reacted in the middle of reports alleging he doesn’t support President Biden‘s endorsement of her in the 2024 presidential election.
As per to media, Williams initially appeared to react to the news related to his former-girlfriend on Monday, July 22. The 68-year-old shared a now-deleted tweet that seemingly urged his “friends in the media” to “think twice about wasting time on a 20+ year old picture.”
While, Williams did not explicitly state which image he was referring to.
Shortly after, Williams reacted to a tweet from a strategist named Jonathan Franks. The tweet contained a screenshot of an email Franks seemingly received, requesting Williams’ comment on President Biden’s endorsement of Harris. The media notes that Franks is Williams’ “media rep.”
“Ask foolish questions, to win stupid prizes,” Franks wrote in his tweet. “I’m going to do this to every reporter who asks me this creepy, misogynistic question. I have no obligation to be cordial to reporters asking creepy and inappropriate questions.”
Ask stupid questions, win stupid prizes. I’m going to do this to every reporter who asks me this creepy, misogynistic question.
I have no obligation to be cordial to reporters questioning creepy and stupid questions.
Afterward, Williams reposted an prior tweet he made, seemingly endorsing Maryland Governor Wes Moore as his preference to receive the Democratic presidential nominee or at least be present on the ballot.
“I’d love to see @iamwesmoore leading the ticket or otherwise on my ballot and I’m prepared to campaign.
I’ve watched @GovWesMoore lead my home state of Maryland, and I know leadership when I see it,” Williams wrote.
