Nick Cannon is focusing on Mariah Carey‘s relationship with the other mons of his children.
Cannon spoke exclusively with E! News in an interview published on Tuesday, August 6. During his chat, the 43-year-old shared that he would “be stupid” if he “wouldn’t” want to get back with Carey.
“We belong together,” he reportedly joked, later humorously including why that may not happen. “She don’t want me.”
Cannon’s ‘We Playin’ Spades’ co-host Courtney Bee was reportedly present during the conversation. At that point, she reportedly humorously wrote with, “Yeah, you done left and had like 10 kids.”
In turn, Cannon included, “A whole baseball team. Like, ‘No, you can’t come back home.’”
As per media, as the conversation continued, Cannon divulged that Carey and the fellow moms of his children, Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, and Alyssa Scott, “get along amazing.”
Despite this, Cannon explained that he never “expect[ed] them to.”
“…But it’s like everybody lives their own life, before me and after me,” he included. “So I think that’s how you keep the peace and everybody moving…”
Cannon explained that the moms of his children are “worried about themselves and not worried about what someone else is.”
“As far as the kids are happy and they have the strongest understanding, I think that’s what makes sense,” he said. “You gotta operate out of that.”
