Jeezy and Jeannie Mai Finalize Divorce 9 Months After Rapper Filed, Case Placed Under Seal

After 9 months the Jeannie Mae and Jeezy are officially divorced.

As per to an outlet , the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia has agreed to dissolve the marriage of the ex The Real co-host, 45, and the “Put On” rapper (né Jay Jenkins), 46.

To keep details of their divorce settlement private — additionally child support/custody, spousal support and property splits — the parents of 2-year-old daughter Monaco have permitted to file their divorce under seal.

News of the ex duo’s finalized divorce comes nine months after Jeezy filed in September following 2-and-a-1/2 years of marriage.

As per to his filing previously obtained by an outlet, the two were “living in a bona fide state of separation” at the time, and their wedding was “irretrievably broken” with “no hope for reconciliation.”

The document also marked that the rapper was seeking joint legal custody of the former couple’s daughter.

A month after the news broke, Jeezy released a statement mentioning his divorce from Mai that read,

“The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart.”

The Grammy-nominated rap artist included,

“in spite of this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”
