Donald Trump has opened his wife, Melania Trump‘s reactions to the not so far assassination tried on his life.
As per to Newsweek, Trump nearly appeared on FOX’s show ‘The Ingraham Angle.’ During his appearance, the ex president spoke with the show’s host, Laura Ingraham, about the recent assassination attempt on his life.
“She was watching,” Trump told Ingraham. “She was watching live — it was all over the place.”
Trump went on to say that afterward, he asked his wife, “So what were you feeling?”
“And uh, she was, uh — she can’t really even talk about it,” he said.
Ultimately, the ex president explained that he empathizes with his wife and her reactions.
“…which is okay,” he said. “‘Cause that means she likes me — she loves me. I mean, let’s say she could talk about it freely — I’m not sure which is better, but she either likes or loves me, and uh, that’s nice.”
Internet users reacted to Trump’s revelation in the comment section of the tweet featuring his recent interview. Many appeared to make light of his comments about Melania’s reaction.
One X user wrote, “Imagine having to reassure yourself that the person you’ve spent so numerous years with and had children with, likes you… Hint: she doesn’t…”
While another user added, “So sweet to think your wife either loves you or likes you…”
Another user added, “This is so f*g weird. He’s taking this as a sign she ‘either likes or loves’ him. What? Seriously, what?”
As media earlier reported, Melania Trump issued a statement in reaction to the assassination attempt on her spouse on July 14. To note, the incident happened on Saturday, July 13, at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennysylvania.
