Congratulations are in order to Brittney Griner and Cherelle Griner they have officially welcomed their 1st child together.
According to media, Britney Griner announced the birth of her and Cherelle Griner’s baby boy in an interview on CBS Sports’ ‘We Need To Talk.’ In her interview, Brittney stated that their son was born on July 8, weighing 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
Brittney and Cherelle haven’t released any pictures of their baby yet, but the WNBA player expressed her excitement about becoming a “Father” in her CBS Sports interview.
That’s my man. He is great! They say, you know, as soon as you see him, everything that you thought mattered just goes out the window, and that’s what literally happens.”
Another outlet reports that Brittney is eager about her newborn but struggles with leaving him for the WNBA All-Star weekend and the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“He will understand.” The Phoenix Mercury star joked while expressing her obsession with him, “My whole phone has turned into him now.”
As media previously reported, Brittney and Cherelle revealed their unborn child’s gender and name in May. The couple announced that they were expecting in April, sharing ultrasound pics on Instagram at the time.
“Can’t believe we’re less than 3 months away from meeting our favorite human being #BabyGrinerComingSoon #July2024,” Cherelle wrote under the snapshots while showing off their matching tattoos.
On May 15, CBS News reported that the duo planned to name their son Bash.
As per media, Bash is Brittney and Cherelle’s 1st child together. Brittney also has twin children from a previous partner with ex WNBA player Glory Johnson.
